M-PET provides the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to repetitive scheduling (PM). You can have up to three run-unit based intervals (i.e. Miles) combined with a time/calendar interval. Your time/calendar interval can be based on day, week, month or year time units and you can 'peg' them to specific days or dates closest to your specification. This allows you to create interval specifications like:

  • “Every 5 years or 50,000 thousand miles.”
  • “On Monday every 5 weeks.”
  • “On the Friday nearest to December 25th every 2 years.”

Tasks can be defined once and then assigned to many different Objects. When the Task is assigned, an interval is specified to indicate how frequently the Task should be performed on that particular Object. Collectively this is known as an Object Task. Tasks form the body of predefined work performed repetitively at Regular Intervals (usually PM). When instructed to do so, M-PET will consider each Object Task and use the Task Definition in conjunction with the Object Task information to create and schedule a Job if so indicated by the Object Task’s interval information. An Object Task’s Interval specification may be time based, run unit based or a combination of the two (i.e. ‘every 5 years or 50,000 miles’). Developing a task is easy, the options extensive to support all manner of complex procedures found in today’s maintenance operations:
  • First the Task itself is defined, a detailed procedure developed, the procedure is kept in a Task.
  • Unlimited graphics of nearly every type as well as video can be attached, referenced and accessed from nearly every element such as jobs, objects and parts.
  • The task is next linked to one or many Objects or it can be used as an Object Type task with a unique one-to-many ability to use the same task for identical objects or equipment. Custom assignment such as priority, labor, group, staff and even event (such as plant shut down) assignment can be specified.
  • The most powerful aspect of scheduled task assignment in the industry is applied by assigning tasks to issue on a rolling or fixed date or day assignment with the additional ability to trigger based upon as many as 3 different counters / triggers. The combinations assure every task can be custom assigned to meet the most stringent maintenance parameters as well as accommodate work load leveling requirements.
  • Multi-Step features support a vast array of assignment possibilities to match specific expertise (skills), labor or contractor combinations and further support in-order stepping for specific process or procedure accomplishment.
  • Further streamline the paper crunch by taking advantage of the ability to build routes, allowing one consistent procedure to be applied to any number of objects, a great tool for plant start-up, security, lubrication, fertilization or emergency check procedures.
